A Case For Mr Smith A High Initiate?
Salutations Mortals oh children of man let us now consider a few thoughts concerning Mr Smith. I was reading my old diary and I discovered a piece I once wrote back when I was a man, as well as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. Or Mormons as they were once dubbed. Now then let us begin.

Our subject to day will be this verse from the book of Mormon. 2 Nephi chapter 3 verse 17
Quote
And the Lord hath said: I will raise up a Moses; and I will give power unto him in a rod; and I will give judgment unto him in writing. Yet I will not loose his tongue, that he shall speak much, for I will not make him mighty in speaking. But I will write unto him my law, by the finger of mine own hand; and I will make a spokesman for him.

What I find most interesting about this verse which will be our focus is the beginning. I will Raise up A MOSES.
by saying A Moses it seems to me that there are more than one and that Moses is in fact a title.
In Greek mythology we have the Muses the 9 sisters of the Arts. Muse in Latin is Musa. Moses in Arabic is Musa.
The word Mosaic likewise goes back to the Greek word Mousa meaning a Muse. We call the law of Moses the Mosaic Law and the Torah Mosaic Literature.
Now that I have shown the etymological connection between Moses and Muse. I shall quote from Tony Bushby's book The Secret In The Bible

In Egyptian Mysteries, a high initiate was called a Mese, Muse or, in some translations, Mose. The plural of that word was Muses or Moses. The great Alexandrian Library was known as the ‘Museion’ simply because it was the ‘place where the Muses meet’, the Muses being the high initiates into the Mysteries. When Freemasons refer to ‘our Grand Master Moses’, they are referring to the ancient Egyptian ‘Grand Master Muses’. Thus, subsumed in the figure of Moses is the real inspiration behind the Torah, a work overseen by an initiate into the secret Mysteries, one with ‘the wisdom of the Egyptians’.22 The name of Mese or Muse was probably also associated with the Meses of RA, the name used in the Royal Titulary of eleven Egyptians rulers in the 19th and 20 Dynasties; Ra-Meses, all initiates.

Quite interesting the name Moses according to Bushby represents a high Initiate. There is evidence in the Bible to support such. Acts 7 22
Quote
And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

This has been part 1 of this series.
Thankyou.
