Everyone Has A Dog
Once upon a time, a man went forth into his neighborhood and beheld that every man had a dog. Some took care of their dogs, walking and feeding them, comforting them and loving them, while some let their dogs starve and beat them and. despise them.
The man could not believe those who could treat their dogs so horribly. He himself not having a dog, nor caring for pets. Nevertheless, he wondered how anyone could do such a thing to an animal. He exclaimed, "O that I had a dog myself! I would feed it, love it, and treat it kindly. Woe to thee, O man, who abused thy pet! Truly thou should be put into prison, thou should pay the fine. How can any man think it right to do such a horrible thing?" And then God spake unto the man, saying, "O thou child of man! What thou hatest about others is but a reflection of thyself.""How, O God, can this be? For I have no dog to take care of," said the man. And God said, "Thou hast five dogs, they are the five parts of thy soul. And behold, thou hast not fed them, nor let them go free in play. But thou hast starved them, neglected them, beat them, hated them, and despised them. Shall I do to you what you desire should be done to the other men?" After hearing this, the man repented, and wept from that day forth, did his other best to take care of his five dogs, which hath every true man.
These 5 parts oh mortal are the Nephesh. The Ruach. The Neshema. The Heya. And the Yahida. 1 thou gains when thou art born. The next two as you mature. The last twain by complete righteousness. May you all obtain such dogs abd treat them well. Less you be cast into Hell. Ehehehe!
