The Angel and her best friend the Devil

A letter from My uncle Merlin Wotan while on his travels in Japan. He spoke with the demon Asmodeus who told him a most interesting tale. Here is his letter.

To you Frederica my love. While I was working at the restaurant our good friend Asmodeus dropped in. He often doesn't eat much. Nevertheless my dear Frederica he stars with us the most amazing stories. I sat down with him and had a small chat about his morning. After conversing for just a few minutes. He asked me if I had heard the take of the creation of the world. I replied that I have heard many. He then said but none of them are as kind as this one. Kind I thought. What do you mean? I asked him. And there he began to tell me this short story of the earths creation. And account of a fallen angel and her best friend a heavenly angel. Here it is.

Long long ago before the Earth was made. A most corrupt angel fell down from heaven becoming a devil. That angel now devil lived in hell and made her abode there. Uncaring of anything heaven had to offer. Until the day while taking flight she ran into an angel of pure delight. She looked upon this angel most pure and fair. And desired to be her friend and became marry there. The angel flying forth through heaven one day spied her friend and went without delay. She took her friend once an angel then and brought her forth to heaven again. While in heaven the devil could not stand so she took her friend and brought her to hell to stand. Nevertheless the angel could not stand hell and the devil could not stand heaven. Day after day they would push and pull one another. The angel pulling the devil to heaven the devil pulling her friend to hell. After some time realizing neither would be happy there. The two friends made a new heaven there. Yea inbetween heaven and hell it was a place called earth for all to run. There the two angel one fallen and one not were friends forever without spot.
Thus is the tale of how earth was made.

I hoped you enjoyed this small tale my love. And I hope to have many more such tales in the future. Always yours Merlin Wotan
